Will and Dom to attend Rapid & TCT 3D printing conference in LA
Next week our KTP Associate Product Designer Will Dauncey, along with his supervisor Professor Dom Eggbeer, travel to Los Angeles for the RAPID & TCT 3D printing conference.
As a part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme, Will splits his time between V-Trak, a Bridgend-based company that specialises in wheelchair seating technology, and PDR, where Dom is his supervisor.
Will’s role has seen him work on innovative projects at V-Trak which include leveraging cutting-edge 3D printing technology to improve the lattice structures in backrests to aid comfort, posture and pressure relief. Read more about Will’s work at V-Trak here.
As the world’s largest 3D printing event, Rapid and TCT provides a valuable opportunity for the pair to strengthen their links with the wider 3D printing industry and its leaders. The trip will also include a catch up with the Permobil USA group, a partner of V-Trak and a world-leader in the wheelchair industry.
This, along with conference’s full schedule of lectures from expert speakers, displays of latest advancements and educational activities, ensures the trip will be a positive opportunity for Will and Dom to immerse themselves in the latest of the 3D printing industry and strengthen ties for future collaboration.
